Rally Cross is a fun event. Similar to its big brother event, Stage Rally, a RallyX course is setup similar to an auto cross course in which cones and directional equipment are setup in an offroad environment; most likely fields and grassy areas.

Different organizations have different rules and guidelines for which cars are part of which class. The classes are pretty fair, AWD and 2WD, over a certain displacement and under, Modded tires or not. The organization will determine which class you are in.
Our typical RallyX race goes like this:

• Take appropraite food/water/tools for ourselves and the car.
• After online registration we show up at the event.
• Check in at the registration bus to make sure we are paid for and ready to go.
• Setup the car with whatever it needs (tires, oil, gas, safety equipment).
• Our run are usually split up into 2 runs groups Morning and Afternoon (with a lunch in the middle)
• We try to split the pack up evenly so while half of the folks are racing, the other half is tending the flags and corners.
• Unlike autoX, during the rallyX all of your runs count, so a bad run could ruin your day. So do your best during all of the runs.
• Then at the end the trophies are passed out.

There are a few courses around Raleigh that we race on. As of now, there arent any inside of Raleigh so we have to goto Four Oaks, Orange County Speedway, or Clayton to race. The courses require a good bit of land to set everything up and be safe.
